Lacrosse Equipment
Men'sLacrosse Stick: The lacrosse stick is made out of synthetic material with a net pocket. They also vary in size. Attackman and midfielders' sticks must be between 40-42 inches, while defenders' sticks need to be between 52-72 inches. Just like the stick size, the heads of the sticks can be different sizes as well.
Game Ball: An official lacrosse ball can yellow, orange, or white, and must meet NOCSE - National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment - standards. The ball must labeled with "Meets NOCSE Standard".
Helmet: The helmet must be worn by players at all times during the course of a lacrosse game. Each lacrosse helmet needs to be equipped with a face mask, chin pad, and a chin strap that's cupped and attached to all four hookups. The facemasks must be approved by NOCSE.
Mouthpiece: The mouthpiece must be a bright color and is mandatory for all players.
Gloves: All players must wear gloves that cover the whole hand. You also cannot make any alterations to them.
Women'sLacrosse Stick: The women's lacrosse stick has to be between 35.5 - 43.25 inches, while the head of the lacrosses stick needs to be seven to nine inches wide.
Game Ball: The ball must be made of solid rubber and must not contain any dimples for games. It also needs to be a visble color and 7.75-8 inches in circumfrance and 5-5.25 ounces in weight. Must meet NOCSE standards.
Mouthpiece: Players must wear mouthpieces at all times during the game.
Protective Gear: All field players are requied to wear eye protection that meets women's/youth lacrosse standards.
Goalkeeper's Equipment: The goalkeeper is required to wear a helmet with face mask (NOCSAE approved), separate throat protector, padded gloves, mouth piece, and chest protector.
